Google says MyDoom virus caused problems

The No. 1 Internet search engine Google on Monday was unable to provide search results to a number of Web surfers, probably because of a variant of the MyDoom virus. The users has also experience the same problem in case of Yahoo and Lycos. Google confirms that their users experience slowness in search results because of Doom virus attack which has send unlimited queries to Google.

According to several media accounts, the problem began about 11:30 a.m. ET, and by 3 p.m. the site seemed to be running smoothly again.
