Internet retailer Buy.com announced a partnership with Google to deliver Google AdWords ads to Buy.com customers.

Google’s relevant, targeted ads are now incorporated throughout Buy.com’s online product sections, including books, music and DVDs. Google provides Buy.com customers with AdWords listings on their search results page.

Spammer Convicted to Nine Years in Prison

Yesterday the first two spammers ever were convicted of a felony for sending fraudulent unsolicited commercial e-mail - spam. Jeremy Jaynes and Jessica DeGroot, a brother and sister team, were convicted in a Virginia court Wednesday of sending AOL users millions of unsolicited commercial e-mail messages while evading AOL’s filters. DMNews report that jurors recommended that Jaynes receive nine years in prison and fined DeGroot $7,500. More

FyberSearch Acquires RSS Feed Search Engine

FyberSearch announced the acquisition of the feed archive search engine FeedPlex today in hopes of adding to its collection of useful search tools. FeedPlex is a feed search engine that provides Internet users the ability to find data in XML/RSS format on the web.

“We are very happy to announce this acquisition, and to have such a diligent search engine ‘make something out of it’,” said Sid Yadav, former CEO and co-founder of FeedPlex.

Web searches are now at the forefront of AOL’s strategy, with the company laying plans to improve and expand its services and move into personalised search.

New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has charged that corporate insurance broker Marsh & McLennan Cos. steered customers to insurers who offered Marsh & McLennan the largest contingency fees, not those offering customers the best deal.
