11 Aug 2005Google has banned release of PR to CNET .Google says Cnet went too far in googling. Last week, a CNet reporter apparently used Google to dig up some semi-personal information on Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google. Google didn’t like this and reportedly placed a one year ban on speaking to anyone from CNet. Google has blackballed online technology news service Cnet News.com for googling Eric Schmidt, CEO of the Mountain View company, and including some personal information about him in a story last month. Google told a Cnet editor that it will not speak with Cnet reporters until August 2006, according to Jai Singh, editor in chief of Cnet News.com in San Francisco.
